Pros and cons of NYT Cooking app for iPhone and iPad

NYT Cooking app good for

Great app -- now ALL of my recipes are finally in one place, and no more need to go searching around in Safari! Thank you NYT -- I wonder now how I managed before this ;) Just one thing -- I am still unable to add comments directly from the app. The feature is there, but hitting "Add" doesnt seem to work.
I have several other of the same type of apps, but yours is the only one that makes it easy to save recipes from the web to my recipe box. One click is all you need. Couldnt do without it now! Thank you.
If youre interested in broadening your cooking repertoire, this is for you! Theres also a well-written blog sent out a couple times a week.
I type in the ingredient that Im planning to use and search through the options and almost always find something I want to cook. I then read through the recipe and the notes from other users. As with all recipe collections, some need to be tweaked, but with the notes from others this is easy to determine. Saving and organizing my own collections is simple. This is by far my favorite recipe app. The recipes are great, the app works beautifully, and the interaction with others is just the right amount.
Im always coming across recipes I want use. This app lets me store and use recipes from any source with a tap. I can then organize as I see fit.
I have other cooking apps, but this one is the best. Im still discovering its many features.

Some bad moments

I like the content of this app, but the app itself has problems - it doesnt always open after loading, just a sits there. Id be happier if it were more consistent.
This app screwed me over. I saved bunch of recipes from the web that I had been keeping in Safari. I downloaded them all to the app and deleted the windows. Then the app erased all of my saved recipes.
This has been one of favorite apps to use and browse, but unfortunately now it is hit or miss, usually miss, if it will function. What happened?
I cant believe theres no ability to print out recipes in this app. I want to save digital copies of recipes. But I need paper copies to shop and cook with. 90% of my recipes are saved in Epicurious instead - a better designed app.
My first choice app for a recipe box is still Epicurious. It has much better search and recipe organization capabilities. And it has the ability to PRINT copies of recipes. The lack of a print capability in this app is just absurd. Do they really think users are going to wander around a grocery store searching for ingredients using an iPad? And my kitchen is the last place I want to bring a computer. On the plus side, the NY Times cooking section is a great source for new recipes, which can be saved digitally using this app. If there were some way to integrate all the recipes from this and other recipe boxes (like Food Network) that would be awesome.
I have a 2nd? Generation iPad with iOS 8.0 that will not open the app. Opens to the solid red cover page and then quits. Anyone else having the same problem? I have deleted and reinstalled already but still have the same problem.
