NYT Cooking App Reviews

Great app -- now ALL of my recipes are finally in one place, and no more need to go searching around in Safari! Thank you NYT -- I wonder now how I managed before this ;) Just one thing -- I am still unable to add comments directly from the app. The feature is there, but hitting "Add" doesnt seem to work.

I have several other of the same type of apps, but yours is the only one that makes it easy to save recipes from the web to my recipe box. One click is all you need. Couldnt do without it now! Thank you.

If youre interested in broadening your cooking repertoire, this is for you! Theres also a well-written blog sent out a couple times a week.

I like the content of this app, but the app itself has problems - it doesnt always open after loading, just a sits there. Id be happier if it were more consistent.

I type in the ingredient that Im planning to use and search through the options and almost always find something I want to cook. I then read through the recipe and the notes from other users. As with all recipe collections, some need to be tweaked, but with the notes from others this is easy to determine. Saving and organizing my own collections is simple. This is by far my favorite recipe app. The recipes are great, the app works beautifully, and the interaction with others is just the right amount.

Im always coming across recipes I want use. This app lets me store and use recipes from any source with a tap. I can then organize as I see fit.

I have other cooking apps, but this one is the best. Im still discovering its many features.

This app does what it says. I save recipes from NYT and other places. Now I have recipes in one place and not on saved papers everywhere.

This app screwed me over. I saved bunch of recipes from the web that I had been keeping in Safari. I downloaded them all to the app and deleted the windows. Then the app erased all of my saved recipes.

Informs almost all dinner meal plans for my family. Always there for me when my limited culinary lexicon fails my daughters cutting-edge palate. Hate the NYTs Schlesinger-Israel love fest; cant stand Jodi Rudorens Jerusalem hasbara bureau--but this app...its fing brilliant!!! Love you, Mark Bitman. Youre the shit.

If it had a meal planning function it would be a 5. The recipes are great. Interesting, well written, easy to follow. Always inspiring me to try new things

The NY Times Cooking app is a terrific version of the website, full of fantastic recipes and guides to help you become better and more courageous in the kitchen. They feature simple classic staple recipes as well as bold dishes youve never tried. I cant recommend it enough. Everyone at every level of cooking skill should have this tremendous resource on hand, and this app is an excellent version of the websites functionality.

Both because of how well its made and the amazing recipes. The next killer feature would be a shopping list add or export option. However, this is truly the best you can get. Delicious yet super easy ingredients. There are so many cooking apps out there but this is the only one that has solved the problem of what can I actually cook? Well done, NY Times. I hope youll be able to make money from this app.

This has been one of favorite apps to use and browse, but unfortunately now it is hit or miss, usually miss, if it will function. What happened?

Is it still an active app? I cant get it to open.
