My favorite

This is probably my most frequently used app. I can filter to vegetarian or adapt their other creative options. An ingredient or a concept, its all there. The notes are often helpful too!

Mr

Excellent app. Does what it says

New York Times

I love this app its easy to look up and collect recipes. Its also easy to edit those recipes into collections. The recipes vary and degree of difficulty. I love the fact they send me updated emails that I can Incorporate into my collections

No Printing Capability

I cant believe theres no ability to print out recipes in this app. I want to save digital copies of recipes. But I need paper copies to shop and cook with. 90% of my recipes are saved in Epicurious instead - a better designed app.

Best recipe app I have found

Easy to use and results are delicious.

Best recipe app ever!

Yup!

NYT, is it possible!?!?

Update: The biggest problem is the size of this app bloats to well over 3gb after saving a decently sized recipe collection. It would also be nice if you could link to other referenced recipes that are a part of the recipe being viewed. ******* I cant believe it! Ive updated and somehow, against all odds, my recipe collection is intact! Or at least what Ive rebuilt after all the issues with previous updates. :) This is great news for all of us who love to use the iPad as a cooking and recipe resource. This is a very enjoyable app to use, with variety and well thought out recipes and collections. It is, in my opinion, one of the overall best cooking app available. So hopefully the problems so the past are truly in the past and we can build (and keep) a great index of recipes. Thank you for working it out. Its been very frustrating to lose so many saved recipes and our recipe organization. In the future please add the ability to see notes and maybe a link to a recipe that is referenced in the one being viewed, such as a sauce etc. Ratings and comments of recipes as well could be improved.

Great resource

St last the NYT has a recipe app worthy of its recipe collection. Cooking has of course truly fabulous recipes - maybe 50 years worth. The app is not fabulous but is fine - easy to se and does what you need it to. I am sold and use it constantly

Good, but could be great

I use the app for both NYT and other recipes. I like the app in general and particularly like the ability to send any web page to the app as a recipe. I have two key enhancement requests. First, there should be a one touch way from the main screen to pull up your own saved recipes. The current app makes you click the menu and then click the saved recipes option. A more valuable enhancement is to easily see / find your recipes that are NOT yet categorized into any collection. If you have a lot of saved recipes, as I do, theres no way to do this other than to open each recipe and then seeing how / if its been categorized. An option would be for the app to use an automatic category called "Uncategorized". One other thought...not sure of the feasibility, but it would be really cool if when saving a recipe, it could prompt you to select a pic from the page to use as the recipe image.

Great app

Great recipes. App is helpful for planning great meals while on the go and makes grocery shopping easy.

Good Cooking

Its a very useful app.

Love it!

Love this app and I use it all the time. The ability to create your own recipe collection that includes recipes from other sources makes it extra useful. The recipe comments from other users are also super helpful.

Nice work

Fantastic app. Great effort all around with the NYTimes Cooking site. This app adds to the experience.

I cant print a recipe?

We love this app and of course all the recipes, but we sure wish there was a way to print a recipe! Only workaround Ive found is to copypaste the recipe into Notes and print from there.

love this app

I have been a serious lover of cooking for 30 years, and have read and bought many many cookbooks. I barely use any of them thanks to this app. one of my favorite aspects is the ability to get lost in it as you move among related recipes. I have tried dishes that I would never have thought of as a result, and often they end up in steady rotation. I love the new private note feature too, because Im a big fan of marginalia. finally, for sheer entertainment value, you cant beat the sometimes hilarious commentary from the overly rigid.

The Best

Some of my favorite things about the NYT Cooking app: 1. Integration with the NYT--easy to save a recipe I come across to this app. 2. Easy to sort for certain cuisine, especially appreciate the vegetarian options. 3. Ability to take notes and add suggestions. 4. Easy to find and read recipes on the iPad when actually cooking one of the dishes. 5. The NYT seems to be alert to what would make the app even more useful and does a good job of supporting it--intelligently.

Love but...

While I dont like to cook, I do love reading the recipes and the photos. But the recent update does something very strange - repeatedly jumps from ALL to HELPFUL. And that makes it annoying to read the comments.

My favorite recipe app

This my favorite - for variety and for the quality of the recipes

NYT Cooking App

Great app. Very helpful. I especially like the variety of cocktail recipes. One can never have enough of cocktails.

HOW CAN I EDIT THIS????

I have saved from the Times & this app, but in many cases I have 2 of each category. Id like to consolidate... But HOW???
